The Fresh Start Project

35% of homeless Americans are living unsheltered and are prone to disease and infection due to unsanitary living conditions. Personal hygiene is often overlooked because as a society, we associate homelessness with uncleanliness.

LUSH is a brand that prides itself on giving back to the community and creating ethical products.  The primary goal of this project is to provide the homeless community with a free and unique luxury salon experience, encouraging confidence and self-love, while reducing the stigma and stereotypes associated with homeless individuals. while supporting the mission of the brand.

The mission goes beyond an initial shampoo and trim. Each client receives an on-the-go kit filled with eco-friendly and biodegradable hygiene items.

Presentation Book

The final deliverable included a presentation book. This design was chosen to mimic the LUSH catalogs. Complete with a full description of the project, the floor plans of the shop, research and marketing, and more. View below.
